The Key’s newest program, Reading Workshop, will be following up Siddhartha with the existential classic The Stranger by Albert Camus. The books will be handed out Monday, January 9th 5:00pm at the Key. All copies are free.
Art Project for Tuesday, December 13th will be Holiday ornaments. We will be taking digital pictures of youth and attatching them to various homemade ornaments. They will then be hung on The Key’s Christmas tree. Bring a friend and ridicule them with an outrageous ornament.
The assignment for Reading Workshop is to read up to page 117. The discussion went well today. Smiles, rivers, enlightenment, ferrymen, etc. are some of the many things to think about. Eventually we hope to reach Nirvana. There are still two books left, so please pick one up if you still wish to join. We have at least two more discussions for Siddhartha and then we will be moving on to The Stranger by Albert Camus.
Art Project for next Tuesday, the 29th will be free-form sculptures made out of coathangers and pantyhose. Art Project is always free and open to anyone ages 12-20. Starting time is 7:00pm. Bring a friend.
Reading workshop (used to be Book Club) chose Siddhartha as its first book.
Come down to The Key on Monday at 5:00pm to get your books.
