Services
The Key
The Key youth center is located at 109 Sixth Street West in Northfield. It is open every day, including weekends and holidays, from 2:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Key is a space where youth can find ownership and agency, connect with friends and staff members, and get access to food and other resources.
The Wallflower Project
NUY assists youth up to age 24 with finding safe and stable housing. The Wallflower Project, a volunteer host home network, serves as a vital resource for youth faced with homelessness.
In instances where our host home network may not be the best fit or a host home is unavailable, NUY collaborates with community partners to identify alternative housing options.
If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer host family, please send an email to info@unionofyouth.org.
Mental Health Support
At The Key, our dedicated Mental Health Coordinator offers a variety of weekly events designed to foster connections and empower youth to thrive.
Additionally, we collaborate with local agencies to ensure that our youth have access to professional mental health support when needed.
Wellness & Recovery Support
The Key is a judgment-free space where youth grappling with substance use can find understanding and support.
We collaborate with HealthFinders to provide a licensed alcohol and drug counselor who conducts weekly group meetings at our center.
Essentials Hub
Youth can obtain food, toiletries, and other necessities at The Key.
This is made possible through generous donations from community partners.
Enrichment Activities
Enrichment activities offered include arts programs, gaming, music lessons, support groups, field trips, and more.
Support from volunteers, community partners, and grant funders make these activities possible.
