Tutoring

The Leming Learning Lab is an academic and vocational support center located at the Lock, where we provide academic tutoring for middle and high school level subjects including GED preparation, as well as career support such as writing resumes, applications for post-secondary education or employment, etc.

The tutoring program will launch on Nov. 1 and it will be held on Mondays from 3-5pm and Wednesdays from 6-8pm.

Guest Artists

The Northfield Union of Youth (NUY) welcomes local artists, makers, musicians, performers, educators, and creatives to share their talents with the young people we serve. Each month, we host a Guest Artist who leads a hands-on class, workshop, craft, demonstration, or creative experience designed to inspire curiosity, confidence, connection, and self-expression.

If you are interested in becoming a Guest Artist, we’d love to learn more about you! Please tell us about yourself, your artistic background, and the experience or activity you would like to offer our youth. We encourage proposals from artists of all disciplines and experience levels.

Guest Artists receive a stipend for their time and expertise, unless they would like to donate their time.

Requirements:

We believe that creativity has the power to build confidence, strengthen community, and help young people discover new passions. We look forward to learning about you and the unique gifts you can share with our youth.
